Mushroom Robot - Series Toy Idea

For this ZBrush project, my goal was to dive deeper into the use of booleans to create complex forms and intricate details. I designed an original creature, a hybrid of Greebles and Nernies, which appears to be an innocuous mushroom at first glance. However, when threatened, it reveals its true nature—transforming into a half-mechanical, half-organic creature that defends itself with surprising ferocity.

This project not only allowed me to explore advanced boolean workflows but also sparked ideas for potential future development, such as 3D printing or animating it as part of a toy collection series.

I used subtractive booleans in ZBrush to shape the mechanical inner mechanisms of the mushroom cap, while the tentacles were sculpted organically, emerging from the core to contrast with the inner design.
